Interior painting that leaves your home cleaner than we found it

Interior work is where a painter's habits show. Anyone can roll a wall. The difference is in the cutting-in line where the wall meets the ceiling, whether your skirtings have runs in them, and whether there's a fine mist of paint over your floorboards when the job is done.

How we approach it

Interior Painting — the detail that matters

Everything gets covered before anything gets opened

Canvas drop sheets over floors, plastic over furniture, and masking on every edge that isn't being painted. We'd rather spend an extra hour masking than have you find paint on your architraves in six months.

Preparation is most of the job

Holes and dents filled, cracks raked out and filled properly rather than skimmed over, then sanded back flush. Glossy or previously oil-based surfaces get de-glossed and undercoated so the topcoat actually bonds.

Two topcoats, premium paint

We use premium interior paints — they cover better, level out roller texture and hold up to washing. One coat over a colour change is how you end up seeing the old colour through it in a year.

You get your room back tidy

Masking pulled, sheets folded, floors vacuumed, rubbish taken with us. The last thing we do on every job is walk the room with you.

Questions

Interior Painting FAQs

Do I need to move my furniture out?

No. Move small and fragile things if you'd like, and we'll shift and cover the rest. For whole-house repaints it helps if bedrooms are cleared of clothing and bedding, but nothing needs to leave the house.

How long does a typical interior repaint take?

A single room is usually one day. A three-bedroom home interior — walls, ceilings, doors and trim — normally runs four to six working days depending on preparation and how many colour changes are involved.

Can I stay in the house while you paint?

Yes, most of our customers do. We work room by room so you always have somewhere to be, and modern low-odour water-based paints mean you're not driven out of the house.
