Anyone can roll a wall. What decides whether your paint still looks good in eight years is what happened before the topcoat went on.
John and his team follow the same sequence on every job: fill, sand, de-gloss, wash down exteriors, spot-prime the bare areas, then undercoat before the final topcoats. It is slower. It is also why our customers keep sending us their neighbours.

- Glossy and oil-based surfaces de-glossed so the topcoat bonds

What preparation actually buys you
Eaves and fascia are the first thing to go on a Perth home. These two show the difference between painting over a problem and dealing with it.
What we often start with
Paint at the end of its life
Chalky, flaking, and letting water into the timber underneath. Painting straight over this is why some jobs fail within two years — it has to be scraped, sanded, and spot-primed first.
What you get
Prepared properly, then painted
Scraped back, filled, sanded, primed and finished in two topcoats of exterior-grade paint. Sharp edges, even sheen, and a finish that has a decade in it rather than a couple of summers.

The same process on every job, whether it is one bedroom or a whole house inside and out.

Prompt quote
Call or message John and he'll arrange a time to come and look — usually within a few days. You get a written, itemised quote, not a number scribbled on a card.

Careful preparation
Everything covered and masked. Holes filled, cracks raked out, surfaces sanded, glossy areas de-glossed. Exteriors washed down. This is the stage that decides how long your paint lasts.

Undercoat and seal
Bare, patched and porous surfaces are primed and sealed so the topcoat bonds evenly. Colour changes get an undercoat tinted toward the finish colour.

Two premium topcoats
Cut in by hand, rolled and laid off properly, in premium paint suited to the surface. No thinning it out to stretch a tin.

Clean up and walk through
Masking pulled, drop sheets folded, floors vacuumed, rubbish taken away. Then John walks the job with you and fixes anything you point at before he leaves.

How much does it cost to paint a house in Perth?
It depends far more on preparation than on square metres. As a rough guide, a single room interior typically starts around a few hundred dollars, a three-bedroom interior repaint runs into the low thousands, and a full exterior depends heavily on the condition of the existing surface. John gives you a written itemised quote after seeing the house — never a phone estimate, because phone estimates are how people get surprised.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Bravo Painting is fully insured and registered — PC 100555 / PP100526. In Western Australia painting work over the prescribed value requires registration, so always ask for the number. We are happy to provide a certificate of currency before we start.
How long have you been painting?
John has been in the industry since 2008 and has run Bravo Painting as a small hands-on team since. He is on the tools on your job — you are not handed to a subcontractor you have never met.
Do you give free quotes?
Yes, quotes are free and there is no obligation. John will come to the property, look at the actual condition of the surfaces, discuss colours if you want, and send a written quote.

Yes. Residential is the bulk of what we do, but Bravo Painting also takes on commercial work and new-build contracts. Call John with the details and he will tell you honestly whether it suits the team.
